heart.
Doris left for Côte d'Ivoire with the Bible Mission in February 1971, only to return to France in October.
in 2007, working at the Centre Féminin with Frieda Wahl, she was
also recently deceased. She will revisit the country in spring 2016. She was also
sent to Haiti with Marianne Kobi, at the end of 1996, for preparatory contacts for our
partnership with UEBH.
Those who worked with her in Côte d'Ivoire have noted her courage during the crisis.
politico-military in the early 2000s, during which rebels broke down the door
from her house in Zlanwopleu to take all the money she could get. Many
young girls from her region were able to stay with her and be impacted by her work with the
Center Féminin. The woman known as "Maman Doris" organized many camps, including
all over the country, devoting themselves either to prayer and praise, or to the preparation of
different teachings, on topics as varied as prayer, the formation of
responsible, the purity of the young girl, self-knowledge, property management,
vocation, etc. - not to mention sewing, knitting, bag-making and soap-making classes,
etc.
The funeral will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 1pm, at the Chrischona Church in
Hallau (Switzerland).
All the staff at Mission Biblique join us in expressing our deepest gratitude.
